I review this interesting little keychain light that does it all. But it had a surprising feature that wasn't included in the manual... and scared me when I accidentally activated it. Watch my video to find out more.

Hosonic V20 Review Transcript
General thoughts after a week of usage/size comparison/practicality/interesting things:
• I've been getting into these keychain flashlights recently as I've found them to be great portable work lights and makeshift headlamps. I was on a ride the other day and didn't bring along my main EDC as I thought I'd be home before dark. Luckily I had one of these with me clipped to my backpack. They're so small, that you can charge them up and chuck them into a few of your bags, etc for emergency use. The Hosonic V20 crams every possible feature you can think of into a keychain light, including an insanely loud electronic whistle. I guess that's where the 'sonic' comes from in Hosonic.
• What you get in the box: keyring, lanyard, two diffusers (white/orange), USB-C charging cable, manual.
• Comparison with RovyVon E8, Wuben X3
Overall Construction, LED, lens, bezel and reflector
• The body is made of GITD PC, it's all see-through and you can see the 1100mAh battery takes up most of the internal space. This is a very large-capacity battery for a keychain light. Most others have a 300mAh cell, which will give you battery anxiety. It's roughly the same capacity as an 18350 or 14500 cell. Dual switches on the front, rubber. Double-sided clip on the back - it's very firm, not much give. USB-C charging, magnet, keyring hole. There's also a grate for the electronic whistle.
• Auxillary LEDs - red, blue, green, white, UV. Main LEDs - dual white LEDs (TIR), dual Red LEDs (two SMO reflectors). The red ones are around 620nm. Not deep red, more orangey. The head swivels 180 degrees and is made of aluminum.
UI - modes
• Double press the left button for aux modes. Single click to cycle. Press and hold to turn it off. From off, press and hold for the whistle. Triple click for the main red LEDs.
• Double press the right button for the main white LEDs. Single press to cycle modes. Press and hold to turn it off. From off, press and hold for turbo.
• The battery indicator turns on when any mode is activated (green, red, red flashing)
Performance - total output, beam profile, longevity, practicality
• Ceiling bounce test, CCT, CRI.
• Steps down very quickly, but is bright when first switched on. The main red mode holds output.
Considerations
• Build quality could be improved, don't get me wrong, it's perfectly acceptable and doesn't affect the performance but just doesn't look and feel as polished as some of my other keychain lights. An example is the battery writing that shows through the back panel. No clear window in the AUX light area.
• Non-replaceable battery. It's an 1100mAh cell though, so wear effects shouldn't erode battery capacity as much as a lower-capacity cell.
• No lock mode! But you do need to double-click to turn on a lighting mode so less likely to activate accidentally.
Verdict
• This is a great little do-it-all keychain light that won't break the bank. You can chuck it in your bag, and forget about it until you need it. The UI is simple enough and the high-capacity cell makes it one of the few keychain lights that are suitable for EDC or camping trips where you'll need sustained output.
