Ingredients:
• Tomato 4-5 medium size (quarters)
• Garlic 3-4 cloves
• Ginger 1 inch
• Green chillies 2-3 nos.
• Ghee 2 tbsp
• Jeera 1 tsp
• Onion 2 Chopped
• Salt to taste
• Red chili powder 1 tbsp
• Coriander powder 1 tbsp
• Turmeric ½ tsp
• Asafoetida (hing) 1/2 tsp
• Carrots 2 cups (roundels)
• Green peas 2 cups
• Water 50 ml
• Garam masala 1 tsp
• Fresh coriander 1 tbsp
Methods:
• In a grinding jar add the tomatoes, garlic, ginger and green chillies, grind into a fine puree.
• Heat ghee in a wok, add jeera and allow it to splutter.
• Add onions and sauté until golden brown.
• Add the puree, salt and cook for 4-5 minutes.
• Add the powdered spices and cook further for 3-4 minutes.
• Add the carrots and green peas and cook for 4-5 minutes.
• Add little water, cover and cook for 7-8 minutes or until carrots are soft.
• Add garam masala, mix well and finish it by adding some freshly chopped coriander leaves.
• Serve hot with paratha or roti of your choice.
