Sophie: A Murder in West Cork, has been released on Netflix, on June 30. West Cork, Ireland. A stunningly beautiful place with a murder mystery that has remained unsolved for the past 25 years. On Dec. 20, 1996, Sophie arrived in West Cork, Ireland, where she wanted to spend some time by herself before returning home for Christmas. Sophie loved her cottage house and was madly in love with it. Unfortunately, Sophie's body was found by a neighbor named Shirley Foster, on the morning of December 23, three days after Sophie arrived in West Cork. She was in her nightwear and boots. Ian Bailey, who stayed in a nearby house, was identified as the main suspect in this case. He had moved to Ireland in 1991. A case of domestic violence had been registered against him a while ago, so he did have a criminal history. However, till date the case remains unsolved because of a lack of adequate evidence.
