The Knowledge Sharing – Cascading Events Initiated by Natural and Climatic Disturbances Tool, developed by ICC within the C3PO framework of the Horizon Europe R²D² project, addresses cascading events triggered by natural and climatic disruptions and their quantifiable impacts on the resilience of electricity infrastructures.

This tool provides a dedicated repository that stores reports and multi-spatial, multi-temporal analyses of cascading events, supporting the identification of the most critical risks and system vulnerabilities. It enables stakeholders to generate systematic insights and recommendations on the most appropriate and cost-effective measures to strengthen grid resilience against threats such as windstorms, wildfires, and cascading effects.

The repository also offers graphical visualization of the outcomes generated by the models developed under R2D2 project, making results accessible and actionable for system operators and decision-makers.

The application is built on SVELTEKIT full-stack framework, running on a Linux environment with Docker-compose, MySQL, and Prisma ORM, ensuring scalability and portability for real-world applications.

This tool is led by ICC and is part of C3PO (Multi-risk Assessment Framework for Power Systems), which strengthens the cybersecurity and physical resilience of Electrical Power and Energy Systems (EPES) under the Horizon Europe R²D² project.
