A Faithful Servant in the Church, Acts

Faithful service for Christ does not require a special vocational ministry, a high-profile position, or professional training. It begins with a heart devoted to Christ. Once Jesus opens our hearts to serve Him, then He can open our eyes to the opportunities surrounding us. The best place to start is in our household. Once we have trained ourselves to serve our family members, it will be easier for us to serve in our neighborhood, workplace, and church. We do not serve God to receive praise from others. But the praise and good reputation we receive can be a testimony to God’s work in our lives. Our acts of compassion that God works through us can spur other people to meet the needs of those in their own sphere of influence (Bible Expositor and Illuminator Union Gospel Press, Summer Quarter 2024).
