Hiking 65km of the Bibbulmun Track – Albany Highway to Dwellingup

In mid-May a mate and I hiked a 65km section of the Bibbulmun Track in Western Australia. We camped for two nights and unbeknown to us an 18km section of the trail was diverted due to a prescribed burn in the area. This meant we were forced to camp at a makeshift site for the first night & also saw us hiking along powerlines for a seemingly never-ending stretch. Overall I wasn’t a huge fan of this section largely due to the amount of gravel road walking, but nevertheless it was still great to be out on the trail and I was glad we made the effort.
