Why Aren't There Snow Monkeys in North America or Europe?

It’s clear that there are many primates adapted to climates with cold winters. Many different monkey species can handle snow and freezing temperates. Why, then, don’t we see more of them in the Northern Hemisphere? Why don’t we see monkeys in the temperate forests of North America, or Europe?
