Leaving Willville Bike Camp and spending the day on the rest of the Blue Ridge Parkway - 2024 Ep 2

I woke up in Willville Bike Camp near Meadows of Dan just off the Blue Ridge Parkway. It was a cold night but I was quite comfortable. It was a pleasant morning of coffee, chat and cake provided by the “Trixie Twins”. I gassed up, had a more substantial early lunch and got back on the Parkway. Great riding with very little traffic. Had one little, low speed mishap… ok, I dropped the bike for the 6th time this summer. All the others were in very loose gravel at low speeds. No damage to myself, the bike or the trailer hitch even though it is not a swivel hitch.
I did not make it to Skyline Drive… the Blue Ridge Parkway is longer than it looks and as the day got later, it also got damper and colder. I ended up at a hotel in Harrisonburg, Virginia after dark. I really enjoyed every bit of the Blue Ridge.
