Oldest Speakeasy in Detroit - Historic Tommy's Detroit Bar

Описание к видео Oldest Speakeasy in Detroit - Historic Tommy's Detroit Bar

There's been a place serving booze at this address dating all the way back to the mid 1800s. The current building was erected in 1880, making it the second oldest bar in Detroit by our calculations (the oldest being the 2 Way Inn). During prohibition it was a speakeasy run by the Purple Gang, and there's even a tunnel under the building leading to the river where they used to bring in booze. All in all this is a great bar, one of Detroit's landmarks, and definitely a great place to visit when you visit Motor City!
