taking the day off 🌸 🌊 exploring a new neighbourhood in edinburgh

hello friends, i hope you’re well :)

on a whim, i decided to take a monday off and head to Newhaven, a neighbourhood in Edinburgh with a rich history as a former harbour and fishing village. i’d never visited before. however, upon reflection, it isn’t as far as i’d imagined. i’m already thinking about returning when the wind is a bit more manageable—sorry, i sound like a broken record complaining about the wind!

this impromptu day off was exactly what i needed. there's something incredibly calming about being near the water, breathing in the salty air, and listening to the crash of waves. exploring my own city as a tourist is always a delightful change of pace. i highly recommend taking a similar break and embarking on a leisurely adventure. you might be surprised at how refreshing it can be.
