Here's a bass cover video of one of my favorite bands: Soundgarden!

Spoonman was written by Chris Cornell, for their 4th studio album Superunknown, and I decided to do a stripped-down version of it (drums, bass and vocals) so I could focus on the tones used in the original recording, put together by bassist extraordinaire Ben Shepherd and producer Michael Beinhorn.

I found out, after a little research about how this song was recorded, that the bass ran through a DBX 120x-ds Digital Subharmonic Synthesizer on most of the tune, except on the choruses, where they used a really heavy distortion (maybe a fuzz?).

I used what I have in my arsenal, which are my Aguilar's Octamizer and the Alpha*Omega Ultra, by Darkglass, running through my Aguilar Tone Hammer 500, into my Focusrite Scarlett 2i4 and finally into my iMac (Logic Pro X).
