MUSEVENI GIVES LANGO CULTURAL LEADER A CAR AHEAD OF RETIREMENT

President Yoweri Museveni has gifted the Lango paramount chief a brand-new vehicle in fulfillment of his pledge made in May Last year.
The Mitsubishi Sports Car was delivered to the paramount Chief in Lira by the State House Comptroller, Jane Baryeke.

The Government Chief Whip Denis Hamson Obua requested clan leaders and Paramount Chief to extend the president’s message of social economic transformation to the subjects as he embarks on his final tour in the region before retiring in December.
Much as his highness is due to retire in December, there is already controversy on the election of the new paramount chief. According to the roadmap issued by his highness, election of the new Paramount chief will happen in November but another group of clan leaders have insisted they will hold the election on first March this year.
