The e-tron GT is Audi's first all-electric car produced in Germany. It comes off the line at the Audi Böllinger Höfe at the Neckarsulm plant. The small mass production facility there was expanded and converted for its new role. The skilled craftsmanship of the previous facility is complemented by digital processes and smart technologies. During the expansion, production planners took advantage of new virtual methods. Production of the e-tron GT was designed without physical prototypes a first for Audi.

Production of the Audi e-tron GT quattro and RS e-tron GT at Böllinger Höfe is carbon neutral. As with the entire Neckarsulm plant, 100 percent eco-electricity is used in production, with a biogas-fired combined heat and power plant providing the necessary heat for the Bollinger Höfe. Emissions that cannot yet be prevented are compensated by carbon credits from certified climate protection projects.
