Ep 4 Chitrakote to Bacheli | Tamda Ghumar, Saat Dhara Waterfalls | Shri Danteshwari Temple

We are traveling in South Chhattisgarh, Bastar District which is said to be unexplored & beautiful. We have explored the barsur, and there are many ancient temples & man-made lakes. There are many waterfalls which are seasonal. The best time to visit these waterfall, August & September.

Mendri & Tamda Ghoomar are seasonal waterfalls. You would see the rocky structure around this place, less tourist knows about this place.

Battisa Temple - This is an 11th century temple dedicated to lord shiva, the uniqueness about this temple is that it has 2 shivalinga in the same complex. There are 32 pillars in this temple.

Chandraditya temple is just 5 min walk from the battisa temple, the architecture of this temple is beautiful, Lord vishnu’s different avatar’s have been depicted on the wall of this temple.

Saat Dhara Waterfall - The view of this place was beautiful, If you compare the flow of water in March, August & September. There is a huge difference. You would get the sound of this waterfall even from half a km.

We had lunch at a local homestay in barsur, Muchnar homestay. Rice, Daal, Tomato Chutney, Aloo Palak Bhaji & Munga Rassa. They charge Rs 150 for veg food. If someone wants stay at this homestay - Rs 500 for per person & for double occupancy it is Rs 650 for double occupancy.

While we are on way to mama bhancha temple, we saw devi mela which happens at several places in bastar around Maha shivratri.

Mama Bhancha Temple This is also an ancient temple, It is believed that this temple was built in such short span of time.

Shri Danteshwari Temple - This one of the shaktipeeth out of 52. It is believed sati’s teeth may have fallen at this place. It is popular temple, many devotees come from far of places to get the blessings from this temple.
