Body-on-frame SUVs such as the Toyota Fortuner are powered by IMV technology. Along with the engine options, albeit with different outputs, the Hilux and the Innova share this base. Regarding design, the updated Fortuner is more streamlined than the previous model. All Toyota models come standard with a 7- or 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system that supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

A 9-speaker JBL audio system is included in this Top of the Line Fortuner to improve the listening experience. Aside from that, proximity sensors will come standard on all models.

The Toyota Gazoo Racing Sport package, which is fitted on the GR-S model of the Fortuner, gives it a more aggressive appearance. The SUV's aerodynamic profile is improved by the model's diffusers and spoilers. The GR-S versions now get a new set of 18-inch wheels, a new rear bumper, and unique bumpers of their own.
