This is my perspective from a refugee who lived in poverty for 20 years, 13 in the refugee camp and seven in Long Beach, CA.

The majority of major financial influencers have this exact title on their video: "Why Looking Poor is Important". This catchy phrase is click-worthy, but it is demeaning to someone who is poor. The content creators have great surface-level advice, live below your means, don't look rich, increase the savings rate, etc., but the title makes it sound like looking poor is a way to create wealth, hypobole or not.
