It's already 30 years and this movie is still beloved by those who grew up in the 90s. Plus, the themes about complex parent-child relationships and misunderstandings and struggles to leave the comfort zone is still relatable to the newer generation of audiences.
It's music is so nostalgic and wistful it makes me want to go back to the old days where 2D animation and 90s pop music like the ones from Pokemon anime were the sensation.
However, weeks ago, I heard that people were talking about it again, and a documentary called Not Just A Good was released on Disney+.
It was weird for the soundtrack to have a few score tracks like Max's Dream, Bigfoot, Junction, etc... So, I decided to take the opportunity to create this never-before-heard soundtrack score from the movie. I even worked this last year, but abandoned it in favor of developing art and animation, until decided to go back to this.
This is for all fans! This unreleased score includes all score tracks that were already included in the original soundtrack, and I mixed them with the tracks that I extracted from the original film, so that you will experience the true movie score version. It will be like rewatching the whole movie, but by hearing the movie scenes! Some tracks include the film edited versions of Bigfoot, Deep Sludge, Waterfall!, and including The Truth. And there will be many tracks that were never included in the original soundtrack like Max is Running Late, Goofy Discovers The Truth!, Max The Navigator (To the Open Road!), etc...Also, I had to remove or leave out some of the musical numbers in order to focus on the track's instrumental elements.
I hope you look forward for you to enjoy this funny, free-spirited score and revive old memories for future generations. And parents and children, please learn to understand each other, and make better agreements so that your relationship will flourish. Go out in the world and explore because life it's too short to miss them out.
