This is kind of scary. The question is why does the Donald Trump keep telling people to use that anti-malaria drug hydroxychloroquine, for coronavirus? He does this even thought Dr. Fauci has said: the drug’s safety and effectiveness are uncertain in treating COVID-19.

Well now the New York Times is reporting that Trump apparently owns a stake in a company that produces hydroxychloroquine. He keeps offering it as a treatment even though his own experts say there’s no strong evidence it works.

Reportedly Trump “has a small personal financial interest” in the
company Sanofi. That is the French drug maker that makes Plaquenil, which is the
brand-name version of hydroxychloroquine.

And that’s not all. Apparently, generic drug makers are also getting ready to produce hydroxychloroquine pills. One company is was reportedly co-founded by Trump golfing buddy Chirag Patel.

That brings me to our slay word Heuristic for problem solving, learning on your own. If we are taking a heuristic approach to what is going on in this country, we will run not walk to the polls and vote in droves to get the cash register out of the oval office.

Again Sanofi is the company that makes hydroxycholoquine. One of Sanofi’s largest shareholders is a mutual fund company run major Republican donor Ken Fisher. And guess what folks….as of last year Trump’s three family trusts each had investments in a mutual fund whose largest holding was Sanofi. And I bet this wont surprise you. Apparently Commerce Secretary Wilbur Ross also has ties to Sanofi.

The drug is also reportedly being touted by Trump personal lawyer, Rudy Giuliani, and Fox News host Sean Hannity. But American Medical Association President Dr. Patrice Harris says no one should be promoting any medication or drug for any disease that has not been proven and approved by the FDA.
