This glacier ensures a consistent water volume during warm summers, making it a popular tourist attraction. Notably, in late spring, after significant snowmelt, the falls reach their peak condition. Standing at an impressive 1,224 feet, Takakkaw Falls holds the distinction of being the tallest waterfall in the Canadian Rockies and the second tallest in Canada. As the snow and ice melt in early summer, they create a picturesque mist through the surrounding pine trees. Visitors are often rewarded with the sight of rainbows at the falls' base.
