How to get mods on Minecraft Xbox (2024) - Everything explained

There's no TLDR if you're trying to troubleshoot, sorry bud-

🎉NEW-NEW UPDATE for trouble shooting:🎉

The most common issues people run into seems to be the Non-gamepass Minecraft is "Unavailable". Or they are having installing issues within the folder. Oddly enough I have not run into this issue on Xbox Series S or Xbox one S, those are the consoles I tested on.

💲1 Firstly: you must OWN Minecraft, either you bought it or you attained it in some way.

⚡2 Secondly: This is a Theory, but it could possibly be where you install the game, ensure everything is installed on internal storage. (Expansion for Explorers & Minecraft should installed on INTERNAL HARD DRIVE).

⛔3 thirdly: If you're seeing "PERMISSION NOT ALLOWED" on the install then you may not have the Microsoft.minecraft folder in Expansion for Explorers. (If you do have the Microsoft.minecraft and still have this issue, then clearly my hypothesis is wrong, sorry). To get the Microsoft.minecraft folder I put a link up top to another video that may help. if that doesn't help then ohhh boyyy we got more figuring out to do


♻️4 fourthly: If you are not seeing the OG Minecraft it may be your region. I am in the USA but if you are not, change your Xbox region and check the non-gp MC again.

A commenter (King1ak) mentioned through their investigations said factory reseting your Xbox and SAVING USER DATA will allow you to see the older Xbox store (ensure you wifi is not connected first incse of an auto update) but once you are in the store and eventually connect Internet if you get an option to update do not update the store, install OG Minecraft
And then install Expansion for Explorers. (I would recommend you use the PC to help you out organizing your mods Incase they didn't save) then finally go through the normal install process in the video for the mods.

😬I'll be honest this sounds tedious, but if you are willing to try it, it is an option.

I'm looking into more solutions.

-----Simpler troubleshooting-----

👁️RTX/SHADERS

Do not exist on Xbox yet (technically). I heard they may work at a later date

🪙ADS-

If you ran out of tokens for linkverse or want to avoid ads use a bypasser:

if your bypasser doesn't work try a different bypass website. if that doesn't work try the bypass website on PC edge, you can even try google chrome or whatever other browser, ASLONG as you get the media fire link and can save it to your edge folder.

If Booststellar doesn't work on your Xbox or you find it annoying:

Just do it on your PC browser and save the media fire link to your edge folder(s).

↩️If the link doesn't take you media fire at all:

it likely isn't compatible with My file explorer. IF ANYBODY knows a method to get these specific links to work, please do tell.

🚻SKIN PACKS:

It's the exact same method as a mod pack you just make sure to put it in the Skin packs folder in Expansion for Explorers
