Описание к видео This is HOW to Get Out of Poverty! | Viola Davis | Top 10 Rules

She's an American producer and actress of stage, screen, and television.

Her film breakthrough came in 2008 when her supporting role in the drama Doubt earned her several nominations, including the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress.

In 2012, she was listed by Time as one of the 100 most influential people in the world.

She's Viola Davis and here's my take on her Top 10 Rules for Success.

In this video, Evan Carmichael shares Viola Davis' top 10 rules for success, exploring her powerful journey from poverty to becoming an acclaimed actress. Viola opens up about the challenges she faced growing up in an underprivileged environment, and how those experiences shaped her determination to succeed. She emphasizes the importance of dreaming big, pushing through adversity, and putting in the hard work to achieve your goals. Her inspiring stories, like racing a boy barefoot as a child and dedicating herself to acting school, highlight the grit and resilience needed to follow your passion.

Viola's story continues with her reflections on the boundaries she's set throughout her acting career. She explains why she refuses to take on roles that compromise her values or integrity. In one poignant moment, she recalls turning down a role that would have required her to get naked on screen, showing that it’s essential to have limits that align with personal beliefs. Viola also touches on the significance of representation in Hollywood, especially for Black women, and how she's worked to break stereotypes, aiming to be seen as an artist rather than just an entertainer.

Throughout the video, Viola emphasizes the importance of quality and excellence in her craft. She shares her preparation for her Oscar-nominated role in Doubt, explaining the extensive research and character work that went into even a small part. She speaks about working alongside Meryl Streep and how collaborating with great talent always pushes her to be better. Viola’s journey is one of hard work, perseverance, and remaining true to oneself, and her words are a powerful reminder that success comes from dedication, integrity, and breaking through barriers.
