Walk 144 | Scotland | Loch Trool Circular Walk

A circular 6.7-mile walk around Loch Trool, in the Scottish county of Dumfries and Galloway, with Mrs W providing perfect company.

Our walk begins at the Western end of Loch Trool and follows the path through the woodland on the Southern shoreline. After the woods, the path hugs the shoreline, providing spectacular views of the Loch.

At the Eastern end of the Loch, the path continues to Glenhead, then returns Westwards along the Northern shoreline, with pauses at the picturesque Gairland Burn and Buchan Waterfall and the historic Bruce’s Stone.

This video was filmed in 4K on a GoPro Hero 11 and a DJI Mini 3 Drone, on a bright day in September 2024.
