This week's video is a step-by-step watercolor pencil sunflower tutorial. 🌻

For this watercolor pencil painting process, I wanted to do things a bit differently when it came to my color palette.

Instead of choosing colors based entirely on what I saw in the reference photo, I went with one of the tried-and-true color schemes that have been used by artists throughout history to create harmony in their visual compositions.

Stay tuned for more watercolor pencil tutorials coming up soon, in which I'll be exploring more of these color schemes! I'm planning to do one with each over the next few months (Monochromatic, Complementary, Split Complementary, Analogous, Square, Tetrad, and Triad).
