🌏 Why did Lord Vishnu ask for just three steps of land? 🌏

When King Bali became very powerful, Lord Vishnu appeared as Vamana Avatar — a dwarf Brahmin. He asked King Bali for only three steps of land. But this was no ordinary request.

✨ With the first step, Lord Vamana covered the entire Earth.
✨ With the second step, He covered the Heavens.
✨ With no space left for the third step, King Bali humbly offered his own head.

This divine moment symbolizes the greatness of humility, surrender, and devotion. Even the mightiest king must bow before Dharma. By surrendering to Lord Vishnu, King Bali attained immortality in devotion and became one of the most remembered devotees in Hindu scriptures.

This story is mentioned in the *Bhagavata Purana (8.18–23)* and the **Vishnu Purana**, teaching us that God’s ways are beyond human understanding, and ultimate victory lies in surrendering our ego to the Divine.
