In part 3 you will see the Gel Coat go down on the bottom of the hull. After the first spray session and sanding session, I made the call to sand the hull flat and put some more layers of Gelcoat down. With the bottom of the hull sanded and polished it was time to flip the hull back up the right way and hook into the top deck. The top deck was prepped, sprayed, sanded and ready for some non slip. With the non slip down we moved onto the flowcoat and then it was time to get the hull out of the shed! With the boat back on the trailer the next few jobs were focused on getting everything ready for the aluminium work to commence. This included fitting the motor, steering and batteries, which meant the motor could be trimmed and turned which allowed for accurate measuring of the duckboards!
