How do you design a legacy, let alone a luxury residential or hospitality space, when starting from scratch in a new country and under pressure over twelve years? Cristiana Crin walks us through her journey of arriving in America from Romania in 2006 and how she built up her interior design practice to now work with affluent clients. She shares her experiences of growing up on a farm, the years of struggle and sleeping four hours a night sometimes. Yet, her ability to create and improvise has earned her the trust of clients as she expands her business beyond Chicago (USA) and London.

Ms. Crin speaks to the hardest things she has had to do when building her design business. Yet she finds her inspiration from fashion shows, displays and art including Prada’s use of colors and lines in her pops of color for the “Wow element”, as well as Dolce and Gabbana’s use of flowers into her designs.
