Hello and welcome, my name is Dayna Neumann and I am the Chief Sales and Marketing officer here at United Mail and today I am joined by Connie Burns connie is our Chief Information Officer and one of the top news stories we hear about on a consistent basis these days unfortunately is around data security data breaches we hear about ransomware what is that we know that it is a top concern not just for our clients but also for us here at united mail so we want to break down a few of these elements that we're all thinking about and today Connie Burns is joining me and connie as CIO tell us what is our approach for securing our environment for ourselves and for our clients well as CIO I have to you know give a lot of credit to my team we have a really great security team at united mail and they are on top of all new vulnerabilities always researching the next best controls that we can put into place i think most recently our vp of technical resources recommended that we invest in an edr an edr is an endpoint detection and response system and what that does is it actually monitors all of our endpoints desktops and devices and just looks for potential risk and vulnerabilities from there it is able to do a lot of quarantine work it's able to do notifications out to our team and basically be able to put in remedies and fixes so it's a great example of of investment we made in 2022 that we're really excited to have as part of our program connie thank you for sharing so much of this information that is critical to client decision making to people who are wondering what is happening with data security and what are the different tools and methods that they can look for and ask for and from our perspective at united mail we are here and ready to answer questions to help make recommendations and to guide you every step of the way as you're considering your data security journey thanks thank you thanks for having me.
