Speaker 1: Today we'll be having a look at and showing you how to install the Optronics LED trailer or clearance side marker light with four diodes. It's amber in color. Part number, MCL55A1224B.Here's what our light looks like installed and in operation at night. You'll notice that our light assembly has four LED diodes inside of it. What's great about LED lights, compared to incandescent lights, is that LEDs last up to 50 times longer and we don't have to worry about any brittle filaments inside becoming damaged as our trailer travels over rough roads.This is a sealed, waterproof design. It is an entire unit and it does not come apart, so you don't have to worry about any moisture getting inside of it causing poor light output or a short.

It is DOT compliant, and meets FMVSS 108 requirements from any 360 degree angle.Because the light is LED it also draws less power than an incandescent light, and is brighter. The amber lens on our LED assembly could either serve us for a side marker light or a clearance light. This light only draws 0.6 amps at 12.8 volts. Making it a great solution for trailers that are being towed by vehicles that don't have much power output for their lighting circuits.Now when compared to other clearance lights, such as the Optronics two inch round MCL55AB light, which we have on our website, that one only has three LEDs, whereas this one has four. Meaning this one will put out more light output, and be brighter for you during the day, and night time.Now we'll give you a few dimensions of our light.

The overall width at it's widest point is two inches. The overall depth from the end of our prong to the end of the amber colored lens, you're looking at one inch. On the back side of our light, you'll notice we have the industry standard two prong connector.Now that we've gone over some features of our light, we'll show you how to get it installed. In our case we'll be using it as a side marker light on the front left corner of our trailer.Now this light is designed to work with our standard two prong connector, which we have here. And is designed to work with a two inch rubber grommet, which we have installed.

This grommet is part number A54GB, if you need to get one.We'll take our light and we'll plug it into our connector. Doesn't matter which way it goes, just line the prongs up, and push until it clicks into place. Then we can take the light, and we'll push it into our grommet.Now we'll test our light out by using a trailer tester. We'll have it on our taillight function, because our clearance lights are powered by our taillight function from our vehicle. As you can see it's working just like it's supposed to with our four LED diodes clearly visible.That completes our look at, and showing you how to install the Optronics LED trailer clearance or side marker light that's amber in color, with four LED diodes, part number MCL55A1224B..
