Martinique is considered the “isle of flowers” and the botanical Balata Gardens are considered the “gardens of an artist” - rated as the best on Martinique. The garden has about 3000 varieties of tropical plants that includes a large number of begonias, bromeliads, bamboos, hibiscus, mahogany trees and about 300 different species of palm trees.
