Changing Sprinklers to Drip Irrigation For A Garden or Raised Beds

Описание к видео Changing Sprinklers to Drip Irrigation For A Garden or Raised Beds

If you started with a lawn and added a garden, you might be able to convert your lawn sprinklers into a drip irrigation system for your vegetable garden or raised bed. We'll go through how we changed ours and show you different methods for doing the same.

We replaced all the sprinklers in an entire zone of our lawn with Rain Bird riser connection kits in order to get low flow drip irrigation in our garden. We use a combination of 1/4 inch drip line and 1/2 inch drip line, depending on the needs for each section.

We've been converting our suburban back yard to a food forest. We do our best to share what we learn about growing in Florida's conditions… heat, humidity, thunderstorms, hurricanes, poor soil (ok… sand), bugs, etc.

We're located near the east coast in north Florida (zone 9), but we strive to make our videos helpful to anyone trying to beat the heat, build hurricane resistant gardens and fight off everything that flies, jumps or crawls that wants to eat our food!
