Handcycle specific workout doing hill sprints in preparation for Ironman season. This handcycle workout is something we do on a regular basis. Sprinting up the hill with hand bike in a low cadence gear generating lots of torque helps to build strength on the hand bike especially for the hill climbs.

Getting fit in a wheelchair can be challenging but easy if you have access to a handcycle and some steep hills to train on. Wheelchair fitness needs to be fun and unique to improvise and build fitness in a wheelchair. This is all made easy with a handcycle and some hills in your area. Getting fit and also staying fit is very important when in a wheelchair for your health and keeping a healthy immune system throughout your life in general.
