Local Spruce originates from the Hudson Valley, approximately 20 miles from the Esopus Workshop. We acquired the logs five years ago and processed them at our local sawmill. We air-dried them for several months and subsequently kiln-dried them for an additional few months.

This Norway spruce was brought to the US in the 19th century for ornamental purposes, and due to the warmer climate upon its arrival, it thrived remarkably. It is softer than Sitka and slightly softer than Adirondack, producing an excellent sound!
