We started our journey early in the morning by our car.
You can take a bus from Esplanade bus stand Kolkata or karunamoyee bus stand salt lake,Kolkata.If you want to travel by Volvo Ac bus then charges will be approx 360/- per head.If you you want to book government bus like WBSTC,SBSTC then price will be around 150-180/- per head. The bus journey will take 4hours from Kolkata to Bishnupur.
If you want to travel by train then you can take RUPASHI BANGLA from Santragachi at 6:25am on a daily basis except Saturday.
ARANYAK express from Shalimar at 7:45am.
Howrah Purulia Superfast Express at 16:50pm.
Shiromoni Express from Howrah at 17:50pm.
If you travel by your own car or private car then one day is enough for Bishnupur but if you want to go to JOYPUR FOREST then I will suggest stay at BANALATA resort for one day.
For staycation you can choose BANALATA RESORT in JOYPUR FOREST,Banafool Resort or Moulisha Resort.
In Bishnupur you can stay at ANNAPURNA HOTEL OR WBTDCL government tourists lodge.
