In this preview lesson from John Goldsby's new course Tell Your Story: Soloing Concepts for the Jazz Bassist, John uses the classic solo by Scott LaFaro on 'There Is No Greater Love' (1958), originally composed by Isham Jones. John breaks down the bass line, solo break, and bass solo from the original recording and performs it with his live trio at the end of the video.

To follow along with this lesson, you'll need the transcription of the bass line and solo John plays, and the backing track with the live band to practice. The transcription includes the bass line from the head, the bass solo break that John plays, and Scott LaFaro's solo in full.
