Welcome back to Delta Force: Black Hawk Down. This is the fifth instalment in the Delta Force franchise, as created by Novalogic in 2003, and is a Sandbox Tactical Shooter. The story follows the missions of Special Forces Operational Detachment - Delta, also known as the Delta Force, as they tackle Farah Aideed and the Habar Gedir in an interventionist effort to bring freedom and peace to the people of Mogadishu who are being controlled by the warlord, using guns and food scarcity. The game has more scripted events as compared to its predecessors and a more linear level structure, giving it a more action-oriented vibe. However, it still requires the player to remain cautious and plan their tactics on the fly, making it a tactical shooter. The Team Sabre Expansion pack features further scenarios featuring the Delta Force and their operations in both Colombia and Iran.

After having secured a base of operations on Kharq Island, Delta turns its attention towards local disturbances in the region. Primarily, Iranian soldiers holding on to Oil.

And so, their first assault is planned to conquer Kharq Island's primary oil terminal.

The plan is simple. Delta is to approach the Oil Terminal on a boat and eliminate all resistance. Once that is done, they must take the initiative and remove any chance of retaliation by demolishing enemy VBLs in the nearby reserve barracks.

Apart from an Ambush on the way to the docks, everything else proceeded according to plan. An Iranian soldier even aided them in their quest.
