2018 Yamaha WaveRunner Blow Off Valve BOV Install - Bull Boost - Worx Racing Intake Maniford Adapter

2018 Yamaha WaveRunner SVHO FX Cruiser.

Install of the Bull Boost Performance Blow Off Valve Kit and WORX Racing Intake Manifold Adapter, allowing a BOV to be installed without tapping into the MAP Sensor.

FYI, This kit is a copy of the RIVA Racing HKS Style BOV. It uses a knockoff version of the HKS Universal BOV.

I used some Walmart gift cards to buy this kit, so my cost was nothing for it.

But beware, according to the BULL BOOST PERFORMANCE site, the kit comes with Vacuum line, even describing it as extra thick, IT DOES NOT COME WITH VACUUM LINE. 4MM Line in needed for install. The site also says the kit comes pre assembled with the BOV and the adapter connected with the circlip installed. It does not, so you need a snap ring plier to install it.

Also be ready for some tight spaces if you use the Intake Manifold Adapter, it sits right under the fuel rail and on a bracket for zip ties to secure the harness, there is a line attached to the sensor so you can not use a a socket, and there is hardly any room to get a wrench on it, but it can be done.

Overall, the install is easy, once I figured out how to get the sensor out. I believe it was an 11/16th wrench. But I wanted to go this route since I did not want to tap into the MAP sensor.

You will also need thread sealant with PTFE, Permatex 80632 is what is required.

Yes, the ski is dusty, I live in a rural environment, I also have not been able to get it out this season, and I am still trying to. I didn't have the time to completely finish the install by securing everything. I will try to test it when I can, but not sure how long it will be before I can get it out on the water to full test it. At least if the BOV fails, I can buy the HKS BOV and install it in a few minutes.
