Rangeela (1995) was directed by Ram Gopal Varma. Its cast included Aamir Khan, Jackie
Shroff, Urmila Matondkar.

Each song of Rangeela was a nightmare for its choreographer Ahmed Khan.
He was barely 19 and the music by A.R. Rahman left him confused and searching for answers.

There were other bridges that had to be crossed.
As child actor, Ahmed had acted with Aamir Khan (in Raakh) and met Jackie Shroff on the sets of Mr. India. And now suddenly, he was directing their dance moves.
Thus it was quite a risky decision for them to accept Ahmed as their choreographer.
But they did. And that risk became Rangeela.

Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak (1998), made Udit Narayan the preferred voice for Aamir
Khan. In Rangeela too Udit Narayan sang 2 songs.
But Rahman also sang a song for Aamir. It did appear unusual if not weird in the beginning.

Ahmed shot a song, rejected his own work and reshot it.
Throughout the film - his pillar of strength was the director Ram Gopal Varma.
