Doing Marth's Classic Mode run.
"Beware, dragons, of the Dragon-Slaying King of legend," Palutena warned. "What do you have against dragons, anyway?"
"In general? Not so much," Marth said. "In specific? Well, one tried to destroy my world."
"Ah. So you're taking it all out on our fellow scalies."
"N-no, I was just doing what I was handed for my route," Marth said. "No offense to any, uh, scalies I felled in my run."
"But some of those scalies were villains. Are you saying you have no offense to them either?"
"Uh..." Marth glared at her. "Y-you're clearly trying to confuse me here. I was just doing my job."
Palutena giggled. "Confusing you? Me? I'm a goddess of good trying to find out the complicated reasons behind humans' reasons for doing what they do. It's my job to make sure you guys won't kill each other willy-nilly."
"With all due respect, Goddess Palutena, I do not...wish to give you the wrong sort of attention least you want to end up like Medeus someday."
"You mean with a sword right through my chest?"
"N-no. I meant you turning into a demi god or something. So, if you'd excuse me..." Marth walked away from the scene.
"He's such a thoughtful person," Palutena commented. "It's no wonder so many people like him. Shame I'm going demi god at this rate, though."
"Wait, really?" Chris said.
"Ha ha, nope," Palutena said. "Every evil god knows you'll fulfill your demi god quota when a sacred sword is stabbed somewhere on your body, and I don't want to be on the receiving end of that." She thought for a moment. "Hmm, but then again, I have a loyal guardian angel ready to lie down his life for me so I'd have a free pass at surviving..."
"Stop," Chris said annoyed. She giggled.
Key Notes:
Classic Mode Overview (repeated in every other character video)
Unlike before, you will never start your difficulty at the maximum difficulty (9.9). The limit you can start is at 5.0.
However, depending on how well you do in every fight, the difficulty will steadily increase. The factors that contribute an increase are if you...
1) ...finished the fight as quickly as possible.
2) ...didn't stay put or mess around.
3) ...actually managed to avoid damage altogether (meaning a perfect run, which doesn't really guarantee an extra point).
At best, you can get a whole point (or more) added to difficulty. At worst, you get nothing. "Nice Plays" may just be compliments that usually are around 0.8 additions. Do your best to get to the end of the mural.
Using tickets avoids losing difficulty, but in case the difficulty is still increasing, you'll get a 0.1 increase if you win a match.
Oh, and you only get ONE life. Lose it, and you'll either spend money to continue while losing difficulty, use a Ticket without the drawback, or simply give up.
Classic Mode runs for every character aren't the same anymore. Instead of random setups, every character has a set path revolving around a theme. No differences will be made if you retry the same route.
Moreover, the final boss may or may not be unique to every fighter. It may be Master Hand and/or Crazy Hand, but it can be someone else.
Marth's Final Boss
It's Rathalos. Wisely use the Pitfall (for when it's flying) and Deku Nut (for when it's on the ground and you hit its face) to stun it down and deal more damage without interruptions.
"Why does Marth unlock Ryu? What do they even have in common?" Palutena asked.
"For the uneducated, 'Ryu' literally means 'dragon' in Japanese," Chris said. "And Marth's route is...well, you already know."
"Oh." Palutena giggled. "See, these unlocks are sweet when they aren't so out of left field."
Watch, enjoy, and comment, everyone.
