Intriguing Neo Brutalist home was built to look like a sculpture you can live in

Designed to be a family's staycation home in Batangas City, Casa Borbon can also cater to two separate groups as an Airbnb rental. Its neo brutalist structure was designed by architect Amon Cali of Cali Architects who is heavily influenced by the likes of architecture greats such as Le Corbusier, Tadao Ando and Leandro Locsin. The house has a 150 sqm footprint and features a pool and a viewing deck of the mountains to the north.

Principal and Founder of Cali Architects, Cali thinks that brutalist structures work in our country because the use of large overhangs and cantilevers help keep out the harsh sun and heat out, while the concrete's texture looks great against the tropical landscape.
