"Wow" to keep mess free under outdoor bird feeder

I live in an area where temperatures range from 95 degrees in the summer to below zero in the winter.
I used a medium-duty tarp for $3.99, which started tearing in 2023 after 3 years of installation.
It is not bad for the price though.
In 2024, I finally replaced the med-duty tarp with a heavy-duty one, so I expect it to last over 3 years.
And, I found that wherever the tarp was stuck over the nails, they peeled off every year and eventually had to be reattached, that is the location where the tearing started.
So, this time, I also decided not to nail the tarp in the center of the feeder.
