The Super Visa is a multiple entry visa that is issued for a period of up to 10 years.

The Canadian super visa allows applicants to remain in Canada for up to two years as long as they can meet all of the requirements. This can then be extended for an extra year from within Canada. A normal visit visa only allows applicants to remain in Canada for 6 months.

A Super Visa does not allow your parent or grandparent to work in Canada.

The Canada Super Visa fee is $100, and then an additional $85 for biometrics.

Canada Super Visas can be applied for online.

The Canadian Citizen / Permanent Resident child or grandchild needs to prove they have enough money to support the Super Visa application. The income requirements are as follows:

Size of Family Unit
1 person $25,921
2 persons $32,270
3 persons $39,672
4 persons $48,167
5 persons $54,630
