In the course of a broadcast on the Kolkata Rape and Murder case - an issue Mojo Story has reported on relentlessly- Barkha Dutt was compelled to ask the TMC spokesman to leave the show. While we are open to all views within a framework of civility, including a guest's right to critique our work, the spokesman behaved like a petty troll whose aim was to disrupt the show. At first we patiently gave him a hearing but when it became apparent that he would not let the host speak and kept speaking over her, whilst making personal attacks on her, we did remove him from the show. In our opinion he revealed how little he was concerned with justice for the victim and how much he was driven by the urge to bully and silence a woman professional. He will never be welcome back to our platform.
