Week 11: The Humours of Bolton Street

Thanks a million to Rob and Paraic for helping piece together the origins of this one!

I first learned this in 1998 from Síobhán Ní Chonnaráin in the Scoil Eigse in Ballina. Also released that year was the wonderful recording "Leitrim's Hidden Treasure" by the McNamara family--what an album.

Apparently Brian McNamara got this tune from book 2 of the Stephan Grier collection of Leitrim tunes, you can check out here from the Irish Traditional Music Archive: https://www.itma.ie/digital-library/s.... Meaning this tune is from the 1880's at least, probably earlier :)
