Last year I made a ridiculous custom Slim Jim holster for a friend and a handful of people reached out to see if I was selling them. And while I liked the design of it, it was too labor intensive to be able to sell them at a price I felt was reasonable. So I decided to make a second version to see if I could eliminate some of the more labor-intensive parts and this is what I came up with. This version only has two parts…the sleeve and the belt loop. To achieve this, each part just folds back onto itself limiting the number of pieces needed and I tried to limit the amount of stitching required to attach the two pieces. Once they are attached, the belt loop is made using two simple rivets. And after adding the top snap, I soaked and wet formed it around a dowel overnight. Once it dried, it held the shape which will make it easier to slide the Slim Jim in and out. And just like that I had a streamlined designed custom leather Slim Jim holster.
