NEW 2024 Peugeot 508 SW Allure - Visual REVIEW Exterior

The 2024 Peugeot 508 SW Allure is a stylish and comfortable sedan that stands out in its segment with its refreshed design and enhanced features. The car's exterior has been thoroughly redesigned, taking cues from the 408 fastback. The front end showcases Peugeot’s new crest logo within a redesigned radiator grille that seamlessly blends into the bodywork. The standard 508 also comes with new 18-inch alloys, and the tail-lights have been restyled with a claw-like design. Overall, subtle changes, including a new Peugeot script at the back, enhance the familiar aesthetics of the 508.

Under the hood, engine options consist of petrol, diesel, and plug-in hybrid units. The high-performance Peugeot Sport Engineered specification uses a 355 break horsepower plug-in hybrid powertrain built around a 1.6-litre turbocharged four-cylinder petrol engine. This combines with an electric motor in the gearbox and one on the rear axle to provide four-wheel drive. With a 7.4 kilowatt charger, the battery can be topped up in one hour and 40 minutes, allowing for a 26-mile electric only range.

The PSE model offers seven exterior paint finishes, including three new colors. On the inside, the infotainment has been upgraded to Peugeot's newest i-Connect Advanced software, still housed in a 10-inch screen. The system includes a TomTom connected navigation system and an "Okay Peugeot" voice assistant, with the ability to receive over-the-air updates to improve functionality over time.

In the cabin, the architecture remains largely unchanged from the previous model, retaining the piano-style shortcut keys beneath the screen and Peugeot’s i-Cockpit layout. However, the centre console has been decluttered with a smaller gear selector. There is a 12-inch digital gauge cluster offering configurable displays for navigation, media, and powertrain energy flow readouts in plug-in hybrid models.

The PSE offers AGR-certified front seats with optional features including an electric memory function, seat heating, and a pneumatic massaging system. New fabric and Alcantara upholstery options are standard, with nappa leather trim available as an option. An upgraded 10-speaker Focal sound system is also available, which now includes a front-optimized mode for front occupants.
