In 1991 Tameka was approached by scouts from the UK program "Stars In Their Eyes". She was chosen because she looked and sounded like Janet Jackson. Her performance of "Rhythm Nation" involved intricate and precise dance moves. Along with 10-12 dancers Tameka "wow'd" the crowd with her amazing performance. The spot on this show lead to Tameka being the UK's number 1 tribute to Janet. This took her all over the world. In the mid 90's Janet picked Tameka to stand in for her and promote Pepsi's "Ask For More" promotion. This took place in Germany along side her personal dancers, make-up artists, PA's, etc.
