Hi Ladies & Gentleman, this is Outdoor Gear Guy. After countless hours of research, I decided upon the Firemaple Petrel G3 600ml cooking pot. It's $23.95 from Firemaple, and $25.59 from Amazon, currently. The G3 weighs 162g and pairs nicely with the MSR Pocket Rocket 2 stove, which is 2.6 oz, and $49.95 from REI. While I could have purchased the TOAKS 550ml titanium pot for $29.95 from REI which weighs 2.6oz, I chose to go with the FireMaple because the legs of the stove align perfectly with the bottom of the pot, which makes for a more stable cooking surface, and based on my consumption of other backpacker channels on YouTube, should be able to boil 2 cups of water in around 1 minute. This is incredible from such a small form factor, that has such a low base weight. On the other hand, the Jetboil Flash cooking system from REI is $129.95 and weighs 13.1 oz, and takes 3 minutes, 20 seconds to boil a Liter. Approximately 4 cups fill 1L. The takeaway is that the FireMaple G3 paired with the MSR Pocket Rocket 2, which comes out to approximately $75, is competivie with the Jetboil Flash for a little more than half of the price, and with dramatically less weight.
