Banishment with Wormwood (Icelandic Folk Magic)

Описание к видео Banishment with Wormwood (Icelandic Folk Magic)

In this video I discuss a little of my work with wormwood (Artemisia albsinthium), and how I work this non-native plant alongside Icelandic exorcism and banishment verbal charms. For a deeper look at this sort of plant magic take a look at my patreon   / sussexpellar   there I share more about working with this genus of plants for all sorts of magic, including banishment.

The chant I read aloud in this video comes from Jón Árnason's work Þjóðsögur og Ævintýri originally published in 1864. My work with these chants and verbal charms also takes from Ólafur Daviðsson, another of Iceland's most prominent folklorists.

"Falli niður fjandar illir,
falli þeir fyrir Jesúm allir,
falli sá sem flestum spillir,
falli hann til heljar stalla."

The chant in my experience can be worked alongside other plants of banishment, such as Juniperus communis and Sorbus aucuparia.

The music in this video is by Vévaki, some of my most favourite people in all the world. Please check them out here on YouTube or on Spotify.
