Flanker 2.0 developed by Flying Legends aka Eagle Dynamics and published by SSI (and few others - UbiSoft, 1C depending on the region) was a big update on their previous version.

The game had massive graphical overhaul - with mipmapped textures and support for many graphics accelerators. The game world was really detailed with many real life landmarks.

The biggest change however was the introduction of navalized Flanker - the Su-33 Flanker-D, which could operate from the aircraft carrier.

Later 2.5 patch introduced many improvements and bug fixes and added another flyable aircraft - the MIG-29K Fulcrum (also navalized version). The patch was free to download, but for anyone who missed the initial release there was standalone version of Flanker 2.5 which included all the fixes up to that point.

In this short video I'm showcasing the 2.5 standalone release - in the version I own you're getting 2CDs in a DVD case - Flanker 2.0 and Flanker 2.5, note that you don't need to install 2.0 if you want to play the 2.5. This version is from 2002 and as stated in the readme file on the CD this "Re-master" contains all the patches - up to 2.51. It works on Windows 10 out of the box for me. No wrappers or compatibility options needed. Just install and play.
