Samuel Johnson (1709-1784) put it this way: “All science is against the freedom of the will; all experience is for it.” We resolve the paradox from the perspective of Theoretical Computer Science (TCS), a branch of mathematics concerned with understanding the underlying principles of computation and complexity.
